Chairperson
Assoc. Prof. Ruel V. Pagunsan, Ph.D. serves as the chair of the UP Department of History. He specializes in Philippine environmental history, history of science, and diplomatic history.

Undergraduate Program Coordinator
Asst. Prof. Francis Justine M. Malban serves as the Undergraduate Program Coordinator of the UP Department of History. He provides support and management in the proper implementation of the Department’s undergraduate program.
Kristoffer R. Esquejo, Ph.D.
Graduate Program Coordinator
Prof. Kristoffer R. Esquejo serves as the Graduate Program Coordinator of the Department of History. He provides support and management in the proper implementation of the Department’s graduate program.
Kristyl N. Obispad, Ph.D.
Quality Assurance Officer
Assoc. Prof. Kristyl N. Oispado serves as the Quality Assurance (QA) Officer of the Department. As the QA Officer, she oversees the data gathering and drafting of the Department’s Self-Assessment Report (SAR) which will be used for self-assessment and external accreditation purposes. As such, she works closely with the Chairperson and the Coordinators to accomplish the demands and requirements of the SAR
Rhodalyn C. Wani-Obias, Ph.D.
Research Committee Coordinator
Asst. Prof. Rhodalyn C. Wani-Obias serves as the Reserach Committee Coordinator of the Department. She ensures the proper implementation of the Department’s Reserach Agenda by coordinatting activities and programs related to research promotion and enhancement. She also coordinates with other faculty members with regard to their individual research activities
Aaron F. Viernes
Extension and Public Affairs Committee Coordinator
Asst. Prof. Aaron F. Viernes serves as the current Extension and Public Affairs Coordinator of the Department. He ensures the proper implementation of the Department’s Extension Agenda by bringing history closer to various audiences through conferences, symposia, and seminars. He also coordinates with other faculty members with regard to their individual extension agenda. He also oversees the maintenance of the Department’s official website and social media accounts.
Janet S. Reguindin-Estella, Ph.D.
General Education (GE) Coordinator
Janet S. Reguindin-Estella is an Assistant Professor and the current General Education (GE) Coordinator of the Department. She coordinates GE-related department and college activities and initiatives.
