Danielle Iris V. Garcia is a Lecturer in the Department of History, University of the Philippines Diliman. She finished her BA History degree in 2023 (cum laude) and is currently enrolled in the MA History program in the same department. Her BA History research paper was entitled, “The American Colonial Government Response to Friar Lands, 1901-1910.” Her research interests include early modern history, Catholic Church history, mobilities within and beyond the Philippines and the Spanish empire, and native responses and agency during Spanish colonialism.
