The UP Department of History hosted the inception of an organization of women historians in the Philippines on 4 July 2025 at Silid Balangay, Palma Hall Pavilion 2. Initiated by Professor Emeritus Ma. Luisa T. Camagay, PhD, and organized by Asst. Prof. Rhoda Wani-Obias, PhD and Asst. Prof. Janet Reguindin-Estella, PhD.

It was attended by Dr. Eloisa De Castro (University of Santo Tomas and Commissioner, National Historical Commission of the Philippones), Dr. Mary Dorothy Jose (UP Manila), Dr. Grace Concepcion (UP Diliman), Prof. Rita Alfaro (Lyceum of the Philippines University and Ateneo de Manila University), Prof. Gloria Melencio (UP Los Baños), Dr. Rinna Orillos-Juan (De la Salle University), Dr. April Hope Castro (UP Los Baños), Dr. Svetlana Camacho (University of Asia & the Pacific), Dr. Josefti Nito (University of Asia & the Pacific), and Dr. Sophia Marco (University of Asia & the Pacific).
