UP CSSP Folklore Studies Program: Don Belong Lectures
The UP Department of History invites everyone to the Don Belong Lectures on 07 May 2025 at Pilar Herrera Lecture Hall, Palma Hall, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Named after the foremost Filipino folklorist, Isabelo de los Reyes, this year’s Don Belong Lectures include papers that examined and expanded on De los Reyes’ works on Philippine folklore. The event will also serve as the formal launch of the special issue of Banwaan: The Philippine Journal of Folklore, “Isabelo’s Folklore,” edited by Asst. Prof. Emmanuel Jayson V. Bolata at Asst. Prof. Vincent Christopher A. Santiago.
Among those who will present their papers/publications are Assoc. Prof. Kerby C. Alvarez, Ph.D., Asst. Prof. Lorenz Timothy B. Ranera, Asst. Prof. Micah Jeiel R. Perez, and Mr. Joseph Adrian D. Afundar, a Teaching Associate at the Department.
